Appointment booking website for salons, clinics and service businesses
An appointment booking website starts at €900, with a typical timeline of 2–4 weeks. You get service selection, available time slots and schedule administration. It's built for salons, clinics and service businesses that want fewer back-and-forth messages, with a clear difference between an appointment request and one that's already confirmed.
A schedule depends on the service, the staff member and the space
Not every open slot fits every service. A haircut, a check-up or a repair can each take a different amount of time, and the same room or piece of equipment can't be in two places at once. So we first list what a client is booking and which resources it needs. Only then can we show slots you can actually deliver on.
The site also needs to keep up with what happens outside it: phone bookings, breaks, staff absences, or a rescheduled appointment. When those changes don't make it into a shared record, an online calendar quickly becomes unreliable. We agree who keeps the schedule current and how the client is notified, so automation makes the work easier instead of generating more phone calls.
What a booking system can include
Service list and duration
Each service gets a clear description and a planned duration. Where needed, we add prep or clean-up time after the appointment. A client picks the right service before choosing a time, so the schedule never offers a slot that's actually too short.
Working hours and exceptions
The schedule follows the working days, breaks, holidays and absences you enter. An exception for one date doesn't have to change a regular week. We also define how far in advance a client can book, based on how your business is organised.
Staff and required resources
If a client picks a staff member, the calendar shows their availability. Where a service also needs a room, a workstation or equipment, those constraints go into the spec too — so a slot represents something you can actually deliver, not just an empty cell in a table.
Request or instant confirmation
You can review each request first, or automatically accept open slots. The message after submitting matches the mode you chose. A client needs to know clearly whether their visit is confirmed or still awaiting your reply.
Email notifications
The message includes the service, date, time and basic instructions for arrival. Recipients and timing are agreed in advance. Reminders or SMS can be added as extra features, each estimated separately along with the third-party service's own costs.
Cancelling and rescheduling
We define who can change an appointment and by when. If a change can happen through a link, it needs controlled access and a clear outcome. A freed slot returns to the schedule according to an agreed rule, without an unclear status.
Front-desk entry for calls and walk-ins
Staff can log an appointment booked by phone or in person. Online bookings need to see the same blocked resource. The panel is built for fast internal use, not just for what clients see on the public site.
Minimal booking details
The initial form asks only for what's needed to make contact and pick a time. For a clinic, that's not automatically a medical record. Handling sensitive data and any special access rules need their own spec and the right professional review.
Cost and timeline
| Package | Starting price | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Booking website | from €900 | 2–4 weeks |
The starting package is a booking website for a defined set of services and a schedule. Multiple locations, complex resources, shift work and connecting to existing records all shape the final price. If you just need to receive requests, we don't build in the same logic as automatically confirming every open slot.
For a broader business application, the starting price is €2,500, over 4–10 weeks — useful when booking becomes part of a CRM or a more complex internal process. You get a fixed quote within 48h of a short call. Development, external notifications and maintenance are listed separately, without assuming the starting package covers every future need.
A real project
I haven't published a project for a salon or a clinic. The relevant experience for this kind of solution comes from the Srbija Tours / DriveSoft platform, with 150,000+ tickets and reservations processed. Its booking logic connects availability, confirmation and administration — which is relevant even when you're scheduling a time and a service instead of a seat.
That said, staff scheduling and service conditions aren't the same as a bus departure. Your salon's, clinic's or service business's rules get defined through concrete situations first. I use the existing case study as proof of experience with reservations and an operational panel — not as a claim of client work in an industry where I don't yet have a published project.
Why work directly with a developer, not an agency
One person from the call to the server
You agree on scope with me, follow development, and take over a finished site. Questions go straight to the person writing the code.
A fixed quote for the agreed work
You get a price, scope and phases within 48h of a short call. Anything beyond that scope is agreed in advance, separately.
No agency markup
Working directly can be more affordable than an agency, since you pay for development and the services you actually need, with clear accountability for delivery.
Maintenance from €50/month
Fixes are free for the first 30 days after launch. Ongoing support and maintenance are agreed separately, based on the pricing page.

Questions before introducing online booking
Can we keep phone bookings too?
Yes, as long as staff enter that appointment into the shared schedule. Otherwise the site doesn't know the slot is taken. The panel is built for fast call entry, using the same availability rules as the public site. We agree who's responsible for keeping the schedule current and what happens when an exception is needed.
Does the client pick a staff member?
They can pick a specific staff member or the first available slot, depending on how you work. If not everyone is qualified for every service, that link is defined in the admin panel. Shared resources like a room or workstation need checking too — a staff member being free isn't always enough on its own to make a slot possible.
Can we send reminders so clients don't forget?
Reminders can be part of the scope, with an agreed sending time and channel. Email and SMS have different technical requirements and costs. Message delivery shouldn't be confused with proof the client actually read it. After launch, track results through your own no-show records — I won't promise a specific reduction upfront.
Does this work for a clinic?
It can handle service and time selection, with the data scope carefully limited. Ordinary appointment booking isn't the same as an electronic health record. If you need medical documentation, extra consents, or a link to health software, those access rules and requirements need working through with a qualified professional. They're not assumed to be included in the starting price.
What if a client wants to reschedule?
Rules can allow self-service rescheduling up to a certain point, or require contacting staff. Any change re-checks the availability of the relevant resources. The old slot is only released once the new arrangement has a clear status. The client and staff get a matching notification, so their records never show two different times.
Can we start with just one service?
Yes — a limited first version can help staff adopt the new workflow. We pick a service with clear-enough duration and rules, then check the whole flow from submission to arrival. Other services get added once their conditions are defined, rather than assuming every appointment in your business works the same way.
